The world spice organisation was launched in a press conference at International Hotel, Cochin, on 9th May, 2011.
The highlight of the launch included accepting applications for membership from three different realms
in the industry:
- Grower : Mr. Peraiah, Chilli farmer from Bellary
- Corporate : Flavourit, Spice trader
- Spice Association : International Pepper Community (IPC), Jakarta.
